Common Grounds
Project Overview
All ProjectsCommon Grounds is a documentary production project developed by Quindici19 / Duemila30 within the framework of EFFEA – the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists.
The project supported filmmaker Illia Rogovskyi in the development and production of the documentary Common Grounds, an essay film exploring the dynamics of creative collaboration and the ways individuals perceive and relate to each other within a collective artistic process.
The film follows a group of young filmmakers gathering in Italy to experiment with new forms of co-creation. Through shared moments of work, observation, and reflection, the project investigates how our perception of others is shaped by expectations, fears, and relational dynamics. In this sense, the documentary becomes both a cinematic exploration and a collective reflection on presence, distance, and human connection.
The project was developed as an international artistic residency coordinated by Duemila30 Festival, in collaboration with Raindance Film Festival (UK) and Four River Film Festival (Croatia). The programme combined online mentoring, co-creation moments, and professional training activities supporting both the completion of the film and the artistic development of the director.
